On June 1,2018 I reported to the NCDEQ office in Wilmington that the free board level at the Shady Oak Farm
Permit number AWS 710015 was 17 inches. The reason for this was due to heavy rainfall events that totaled 9
inches in a 2 week period. Prior to this 2 week period I had been preparing and waiting to get the corn planted
for nearly a month which was interrupted with rain fall events that kept us from planting earlier. I was able to
utilize the pan available on my corn acres to get back into compliance fairly quickly.
