General Project Narrative:
(Description of Minimization of Water
Quality Impacts)
State project B-4750 involves the replacement of the existing NCDOT Bridge #340090 on SR 1719 over Norris Creek. Bridge #340090 consists of 2@40'-3" timber floor on (-
beams with timber caps and piles. The proposed crossing is located in Zone AE of FIRM Map number 3720271900J and was studied by Limited Detailed methods. A
stormwater outfall is proposed within a wetland and outside of buffer zone 2. A Rip Rad pad will be utilized to dissipate the energy. No deck drains are required for the proposed
bridge. In order to minimize impact to the wetland and channel, a 1.5:1 fill slope is proposed from 17+50 to 19+00 -L- LT,
