Apologize for the delayed response as I have been out of the office until today. Below is a link to the most recent Public
Notice which has a comment deadline of June 6th. Please note that this request is not associated with any intake at this
time and is only about getting the existing reservoir into compliance with maintenance of downstream flows. If in the
future a permit from our agency is needed for an intake it would likely fall under a Nationwide Permit and that would
not be something that would go through the public notice comment period like this request. You can always periodically
check back to see if we have any pending applications and what the status of that application is.
If the Town would like to request a public hearing, you will need to do so in writing by June 6th and outline reasons for
request. You can also request a public hearing through DWR's 401 certification process so I have copied Sue Homewood
who is the project manager for DWR if you want to reach out to her.

It was nice talking to you the other day. Could you please send a copy of the full application the Town of Beech
Mountain submitted regarding Corps Action ID Number: SAW -2018-02144. In addition, could you explain the request
for a public hearing regarding the current permit and if that would apply to the future request for a water intake. Also, if
you could provide any insight on how the County can keep abreast of the process and any future action regarding the
current permit modification and potential water intake request.
