Dear Mr. Becker:
In letters dated February 25 and May 1, 2019, you were notified of Total Manganese monitoring frequency
violations for the periods December 2018 and February 2019. Through email communication with Robert
Krueger on May 20, 2019, Mr. Krueger informed this office the subject NPDES permit was corrected on
December 4, 2018 to change the measurement frequency requirement for Total Manganese from monthly to
quarterly. After reviewing the most current permit requirements for the subject facility and communicating
with the Division's NPDES permit staff, this office has determined that the subject facility is not in violation
of the self -monitoring requirement of its NPDES permit. The NOV letters dated February 25 and May 1,
2019, against NPDES permit NCO085863 are hereby rescinded.
We appreciate Mr. Krueger contacting Division staff to correct the discrepancy with the permit requirement.
