Dear Ms. Merritt;
The Eight -Point Buffer Restoration Site is Department of Mitigation Services buffer mitigation project
number #100113 located in the Cape Fear (Randleman) River Basin (HUC 0303003). The stream features
have not been field verified by DWR. The attached information, including tables, and figures, is submitted
for your review and determination of buffer mitigation site viability.
From the photographic record, it is apparent that the project site has been used for agriculture many years.
In the 1968 aerial, the site had already been cleared and was being utilized for agriculture. The site and
surrounding area has remained relatively unchanged since 1968
As shown in Figure 1, the Page Buffer Site is located in Guilford County, NC. The Site will restore a
vegetated buffer to Unnamed Tributaries to Hickory Creek.
Figure 2 is presented using the Pleasant Garden US Geological Survey 1:24,000 Quadrangle Map. Figure
3 presents the potential streams overlaid on 2014 Statewide Aerial Photographs. Figure 4 is presented using
the Guilford County NRCS Soil Survey Sheet 39.
