Dear Mr. Hinson:
On August 4, 2009, this office conducted a 401 Certification compliance inspection at the subject site to
determine if the project was constructed as submitted to the Division of Water Quality (DWQ). Based on our
inspection, the construction appeared to be, in general, compliant. However sediment that has accumulated in
the stream and the coir fiber logs needs to be removed. It was noted that this office was not informed upon
initiation of construction as required by "additional condition #1" of the 401 Certification. It is also suggested
that shady vegetation be planted along the channel.
