RE: Pre-Construction Notification (PCN) Form
Waterstone Subdivision - Boat Ramp
Tar River Reservoir, Nash County, NC
NW 36 and Riparian Buffer Authorization

We are enclosing five (5) complete copies of the PCN and plans for NW36 and Riparian Buffer
Authorization for the Waterstone Subdivision boat ramp by Waterstone Subdivision HOA of
Rocky Mount, Nash County, NC.
The proposed concrete boat ramp will provide boating access to the Waterstone Community.
No grading is proposed, as the boat will match existing grade. The site was in previous
violation of impacts to the buffer due to clearing in Zone 1 (NOV-2008-WQ-0089). A
restoration plan was submitted and approved. All required plantings were planted and
approved by Martin Richmond. A 3-year monitoring plan to ensure survivability of new
plantings is in place. We are now requesting authorization to build a boat ramp adjacent
to the plantings to serve an existing community boat dock.
Thank you for expediting this process as much as possible because the HOA is eager to
construct the boat ramp in August, while the water in the reservoir is still low. Please let us
know if you have any questions regarding the attached PCN.
Respectfully,
Appian Consulting Engineers, P.A.
