NCO076643 I11 121 19/05/09 117 18 JCJ Section D: Summary of Finding/Comments (Attach additional sheets of narrative and checklists as necessary) On May 9, 2019, the MRO performed a Compliance Inspection for the former General Electric transformer manufacturing facility under permit NC0076643. No additional building demolitions were observed to have occurred since the November 10, 2016 site visit. The treatment system was observed during the site visit. Primary treatment is the on -site Air Stripper. The wet well was observed during the site visit. The high water alarm provides notification to the ORC through a SCADA system. Three wells are now connected to the SCADA system. GW sampling is being performed by EPA method 8260 for VOCs. Sampling data continues to report elevated levels of PCE and TCE in some of the recovery wells. Sampling analytical results were reviewed as part of the AR. The facility continues to collect surface water samples at the designated locations. Multiple stream surface water measuring points are also present at the site. TCE and TCA are continuing to have an elevated presence. However, based on the analytical data, the treated water appears to be displaying a reduction in the TCE and TCA.
