Residuals Management Plan: 1. Previous versions of this permit state that the permit allows for the operation of an on -site wastewater residuals land application program. From conversations with the permittee, these residuals are obtained from the digester and are applied onto around 900 acres of farmland. Additional information is required to determine whether this residuals program will require a residuals land application program (RLAP) permit covered under 15A NCAC 02T .1100. We require the following information to make this determination: a. What is the industrial process from which the wastewater and residuals are produced? b. What are all of the sources of wastewater that contribute to the treatment facility? c. Are there any domestic sources of wastewater (i.e. toilets, sinks, laundry, etc.)? d. What is the purpose of the lands that the residuals are being applied onto (i.e. what is being grown on that land)? e. Provide a map delineating the —900 acres of land applied fields specified in the permit. f. If applicable, is there documentation from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture that certifies the land application of the residuals?
