Damon, was also prompt and indicated we should have no archaeology concerns since not near the Coontree picnic area. I forwarded to the ranger but I think you're good to go forth and fix unless I hear differently from him. I am in meetings this week in Chattanooga. It is on USFS. Amy, I assume we can proceed with this work as maintenance, but please advise if you need anything from us in advance. Damon, as this is all steep river bank, this work should fall under the PA checklist for archaeology. It is also quite away upstream from the lower river and known archaeological resources, but please advise if you can think of anything else I need to consider on that front. Crystal and Kevin, this work should apply for non -notification NWP 13. There are no ESA issues I see with this work and it will be done outside of trout moratorium window. However, this is HQW, so written 401 would be required. Kevin, should we apply for this work on-line PCN or do you have any other advice? Pleased advise. Thanks for the help with this. We plan on using shot rock to build up the fill section at the pull -off, but we may have to fill some in the Davidson River. Attached are photos. Maybe we could take a look at this next week. The GPS coordinates of the slide are: 35.288611 N 82.761111 W Thanks, Ben B. T. Williams, PE County Maintenance Engineer Polk & Transylvania Counties 693 Mountain Rd.
