The United States Army Corps of Engineers — Wilmington District (Corps) published on April 9,
2019, for public comment, the Town of Beech Mountain's proposal to modify a minimum now
release permit condition of a previously issued standard permit which authorized the construction
of Buckeye Reservoir, in the Beech Mountain community of Avery County, North Carolina. The
public comment period on this proposal has been extended until June 6, 2019. All aspects of the
proposal, described in the original public notice, remain unchanged and may be referenced at:
