Inspection Date: 04/25/2019 Inspection Type : Compliance Evaluation Reason for Visit: Routine
Inspection Summary:
Staff of the Mooresville Regional Office met with Boiling Springs WWTP staff on April 25th, 2019 to conduct a compliance
inspection including a residuals land application. Active application was halted due to spreader truck maintenance; however,
field site JP-1 was viewed for residuals application conducted the previous day. Plant storage, paperwork, field site
conditions and buffers appeared to meet program requirements at the time of inspection.
There is a typing error in the permit which states an expiration date of December 31 st, 2020. However, the cover letter and
our permitting data base show the permit is due to expire on December 31 st, 2019. A renewal application is due 6 months
prior to expiration on June 30th, 2019.
Please contact maria.schutte@ncdenr.gov or 704-663-1699 should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Maria Schutte

Comment: Their spreader truck was in the shop for repairs. Land application conducted yesterday was
viewed. Site conditions and flapped buffers at field JP-1 appeared to meet program
requirements at the time of inspection.
