RE: NOV-2019-LV-0272, 0279, 0280,0281,0193, 0194
I received the above NOV's on Friday, April 26th. These NOV's date from August, 2018 thru
March, 2019.
0272 & 0279
• August and September is when we had the hurricane and lots of rain. This upset our
system. We were back in compliance by October.
0280, 0281, & 0193
• December, January and February brought rain, snow and cold weather. The system was
again upset. Every year during cold weather we have a hard time with BOD and
Nitrogen. All our equipment was working and we had no outages.
0194
• March was again wet. All the plant equipment was working and we had no power
outages. Everything went our out of control.
Our operator is doing the best he can do to maintain the plant in compliance. I have been told
that the April test results are back in compliance.
Some of our steel decking is failing and new decking has been ordered from Steel Services in
Norfolk, VA. We are waiting delivery and installation. Maintenance activities are on schedule.
We have hired an assistant maintenance technician and he is working out very well. Our
finances are within our budget and our bills are being paid on time.
We are still looking for infiltration points and are waiting our chance to use your smoke
machine. Chuck Jones is coordinating the effort to borrow a smoke machine. We feel that "P"
Section is where we will find the most points.
Yours truly;
Harry Clay Helm
