Haiqing just emailed back that even with the change, it will remain within the permitted 4mcy volume. They are planning on starting up with the dredging with the Ellis next Tuesday and estimate the Liberty will show up around the 12th or 13th Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. And can you also please tell me how this changes the excavation volume? Will it exceed 4mcy now or are you still under that volume? Please see the attached PDF drawings. The attached Excel file contains a list of control points for these templates. Between the drawings and the Excel file, you should be able to incorporate CSE's templates (at 500 -ft spacing) to your field templates (at 100 - ft spacing) using your own BD data collected by the third party licensed PLS. The key factor is that the dune should be tied in with the existing +12 ft NAVD contour (wherever possible), and the berm with the existing +6 ft NAVD contour. The dune width, berm width, seaward edge of the berm, and the fill slope in the attached files are designed to guide you to achieve the project volume. You may make minor modifications to them based on the site conditions at the time of construction and the actual fill quantities along the finished sections. You shall submit your final templates (cross-section plots in PDF and volume sheets in Excel) for Engineer's approval before nourishment commences along a section of beach. The total contract quantity after the revisions should remain unchanged, ie - 4 million cubic yards. Fill quantities for each reach should be within plus or minus 10 percent of the design quantities shown in the bid documents under the "Maximum Fill" scenario. For your convenience, below are the volumes designed for each reach. Reach 1 (stations 497+00 to 790+00): 1,758,000 cy Reach 2 (stations 790+00 to 920+00): 845,000 cy Reach 3N (stations 920+00 to 975+00): 622,000 cy Reach 3S (stations 975+00 to 1010+00): 543,000 cy Reach 4 (stations 1010+00 to 1025+00): 232,000 cy After you have a chance to work on the templates, I suggest we have a site visit with the Town particularly along Reaches 3 and 4 and the northern sections of beach that will receive nourishment sand first. I will follow up with David for that schedule and let you know the date and the time. Also, per your earlier request, Drew will send you CSE's BD data in an xyz format in a separate email by tomorrow. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
