Sean,
With your photo and looking at the Lidar and Google Earth aerials in the past, I would
agree that the feature is most likely a tributary.
Sean, for future reference, if possible, Brad and I would like to see these features prior
to permitting. So, if you know of a future project(s), please give us the
1
information/location. We will make an effort to get out to the site (s) and look at the
wetlands and/or features when we are in the area. This would help us, so when the
project does come through, we are comfortable with what is out there and we have
seen it.
Thanks!

Joanne,
Yes we are applying for the NW 14/ GC 4135. 1 checked the RGP by mistake but I had
talked to Kristi and I thought she was able to correct it. Sorry about that. I called it a
tributary because the feature is a lateral roadside ditch with an area of existing fill
bordering the southside of the ditch ( See Attached GE Street View). I agree that this
would have been contiguous with the wetland floodplain prior to filling for this grass
area. If you think calling this a stream is more appropriate I can make the necessary
revisions on the plans and wetland impact summary sheet.
Thanks!

Sean,
I have some questions about the application you submitted for the pipe extension at the
US 13 and SR 1809 intersection. First, I would like to know how you determined the JS
feature? Brad and I were looking at the Lidar (see attached) and can see the feature in
the stream floodplain. So, I guess the question is what is your justification for it being a
tributary.
Also, on your application you indicated you were applying for an RGP, which one? You
sent monies to DWR, so is it a 31? Brad and I have discussed this and if a project fits NW
14 the Corps prefers to use that nationwide since being a nationwide permit it
fundamentally is a stronger permit. Please use NW 14 unless there is some unforeseen
reason not to. For the DWR it would be the same GC.
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact myself or Brad.
