NCDOT/ Division 6 is requesting an acceptance letter to authorize for impacts to a
project.

The site is located at Bridge No. 141 over a UT to South River on SR 1819 (Stewart Road)
in Cumberland County. The project will replace a bridge with a culvert. The Cataloging
Unit number is 03030006. The USACE is requiring mitigation for 45 linear feet of warm
water at a ratio of 2:1. The State Project number is 17BP.6.R.75. The Water Quality
Designation is C;Sw.

The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the Division of Mitigation Services (DMS) will provide the
compensatory stream mitigation for the subject project. Based on the information received on March 8, 2019 from you,
the impacts are located in CU 03030006 of the Cape Fear River basin in the Southern Inner Coastal Plain (SICP) Eco-
Region, and are as follows:

This impact and associated mitigation need were under projected by the NCDOT in the 2019 impact data. DMS
will commit to implement sufficient compensatory stream mitigation credits to offset the impacts associated with this
project as determined by the regulatory agencies using the delivery timeline listed in Section F.3.c.iii of the In -Lieu Fee
Instrument dated July 28, 2010. If the above referenced impact amounts are revised, then this mitigation acceptance
letter will no longer be valid and a new mitigation acceptance letter will be required from DMS.
