Dear Mr. Chaplin:
On February 13, 2019, Jenny Graznak and Paul DiMatteo,-of this office, met with Alan Gaddis,
owner of AG Environmental Management, LLC, to perform a Cbmpliance Evaluation Inspection
at the Zooland Family Campground wastewater treatment plant (VWVfP). The Operator in
Responsible Charge (ORC) William McDonald and Back Up ORC Rojeana McDonald are both
employees of AG Environmental Management, LLC. This type of inspection consists of two basic
parts: an in-office file review and an on-site inspection of the treatment facility. The attached EPA
inspection form details the areas that were evaluated for this inspection.
Our office is aware that an Authorization to Construct (ATC) was issued by the Division of Water
Resources on May 18, 2018 granting installation of a new 8,000-gallon concrete flow equalization
tank and piping. Please keep our office updated on the timeline for this project.

8,000 gallon equalization tank. Construction has not yet begun.

Comment Upon entering the system,flow to the septic tank flows to the equalization tank.Then it is
transferred via pump to the Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor(MBBR), then to the clarifier,then a
dosing tank which pumps to the sand filter inside the maintenance building. Next the flow
goes to UV disinfection, effluent flow measurement, and finally the aerated effluent tank and
the outlet. Operators add sugar and bicarbonate to the equalization tank. Mr. Gaddis
performs all maintenance at the facility.

out by Delk Septic Service on February 25, 2018, and an invoice/receipt from the service
was available.

Comment: Carolina Generator services the aenerator twice per year.The generator run every Monday
for exercise(not under load)for 12 minutes.The level of the propane tank on site is
monitored. Mr. Gaddis turned off the power to the plant during the inspection, and the
generator did turn on and was able to run the entire plant.
