Hey Dave,
I heard back today regarding the Hardin Rd project sediment loss. They estimated that they removed 1-2 cubic yards of
sediment from UT's on the project site. I toured the site yesterday with Heath, and they were working to fix the
issues. Sounds like you will be touring the site tomorrow. I had hoped to meet up with you, but will need to attend a
meeting regarding some future bridge replacements.

Looks like a lot of clean-up work needs to be done. Once all sediment is removed from jurisdictional areas, please send
an email with approximate volumes removed and whether it was from wetlands or streams. Thanks for the

Hey Dave and Steve,
We were informed this morning of some sediment loss on Sr 1353 Hardin Road in Watauga County. There was 4" of rain
over the weekend, and while EC measures were in place, they were overrun in a few areas. Clean up efforts have
started. We are heading out there to look at it today.
Also, I wanted to introduce myself to you both. I started last week with NCDOT, as Heath Slaughter's replacement. I
look forward to working with both of you.
