The Division of Water Resources (Division) received your sludge survey information for many of the
Agriment serviced farms on January 12, 2018. With the survey results, you requested an extension of the
sludge survey requirement for the lagoons at those facilities. Due to the amounts of treatment volume
available, the Division agrees that a sludge survey is not needed for some of the lagoons until 2019, 2020,
2021 or 2022. See the attached table to determine the allowed extension date for each lagoon.
However, due to the amount of treatment volume available, and the rate of sludge accumulation, the
Division feels that an extension is not appropriate for lagoon #2 at facility # 31-371, lagoon 41 at facility
# 52-9, lagoon #1 at facility #31-576, lagoon #1 at facility #24-76, and lagoon #2 at facility #31-376. The
next sludge survey for these lagoons should be performed before December 31, 2018.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you have any questions, please call me at (919) 807-6340.
Sincerely,
Miressa D. Garoma
