INSTALL IMPERVIOUS MEMBRANE ON THE UPSTREAM SIDE OF THE SANDBAG COFFERDAM. WEIGHT IMPERVIOUS MEMBRANE TO THE SANDBAG COFFER DAM AND TO THE STREAM BED WITH ADDITIONAL SANDBAGS ON TOP OF THE MEMBRANE. SOME EXCAVATION CAN OCCUR UPSTREAM OF THE COFFERDAM TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL CAPACITY AND A LOW POINT TO PUMP FROM. IF LEAKAGE OCCURS THROUGH THE COFFERDAM, A PUMP CAN BE PLACED BETWEEN THE COFFERDAM AND WORK AREA TO PUMP WATER BACK ABOVE THE COFFERDAM, OR BELOW THE WORK AREA IF TURBIDITY REQUIREMENTS ARE MET. A GEOTEXTILE BAG OR OTHER METHODS MAY BE REQUIRED TO CONTROL TURBIDITY AND MEET REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. INSTALL VELOCITY DISSIPATION WHERE THE PUMPED WATER IS DISCHARGED IF THE POTENTIAL OF EROSION EXIST. IF THE WATER IS DISCHARGED INTO A DEEP POOL OR ONTO BEDROCK, VELOCITY DISSIPATION MAY NOT BE NECESSARY. A MINIMUM BASE FLOW OF 0.475 CUBIC FEET PER SECOND (CFS), APPROXIMATELY 213 GALLONS PER MINUTE (GPM) IS TO BE MAINTAINED IMMEDIATELY BELOW THE WORK AREA PER REGULATORY REQUIREMENT. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY FLOW RATE REQUIREMENT IS MET IN FIELD WITH FLOW METER OR OTHER METHOD. WHEN WORK IS COMPLETE, THE COFFERDAM SHALL BE REMOVED IN ITS ENTIRETY. THIS PLAN WAS PREPARED WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF A SURVEY. ALL PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS SHALL BE VERIFIED IN THE FIELD PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. Publish Date: I User: W.
