Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Messrs. DeBoer and Carter, Thank you for your additional information, received 4/11/2019 via email, for the above referenced project. I have reviewed the information and need further clarification before proceeding with verifying the use of Nationwide Permit 29 (http://saw-reg.usace.army.mil/NWP2017/2017NWP29.pdf). Please submit the requested information below (via e- mail is fine) within 30 days of receipt of this Notification, otherwise we may deny verification of the use of the Nationwide Permit or consider your application withdrawn and close the file: 1) A site visit was conducted with on 4/2/2019 to verify the boundaries of Wetland W2. No further action is required for this item. 2) Although your submitted additional information did include an updated Sheet 2, the delineated limits of Wetland W2 must be shown on all relevant Plan Sheets. Per our 3/12/2019 request for additional information, please provide: a. Updated Plan Sheets 1-4 and 7 to clearly show the delineated limits of Wetland W2, using similar hatching/shading as that used for Wetland W1; b. Clearly show the proposed impacts to Wetland W2 on Plan Sheets 1-4 and 7 accordingly; c. Note that NWP 29 cannot authorize impacts to wetlands for stormwater management facilities, including sediment basins. No further action is required for this item; 3) Please provide additional avoidance and minimization information specific to Wetland W2, specifically stating how the remainder of Wetland 2 will receive hydrology to minimize indirect impacts from the proposed fill. Also, note that Wetland W2 is considered a Headwater Forest wetland (NCWAM), and is considered a riparian non- riverine wetland for compensatory mitigation purposes; 4) On Plan Sheets 3, 4, and 7 for all wetland areas proposed for impact, show the proposed wetland impact extents using unique shading or hatching, rather than removing those impacted wetland areas from the plan sheets. Please let me know if you have any questions. -Dave Bailey David E.
