CAMA Permit No. 41-14, USACE Action ID No. SAW-2012-00394. Dear Mr. Harris: This letter is in response to the N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) letter dated April 9, 2019 regarding the Shelter Swamp Creek Mitigation Site in Onslow County. The site consists of approximately 0.80 acres of wetland restoration to offset the project's impacts. The restoration was completed via the removal of the existing fill associated with the bridge replacement and the NC 50 realignment. The N.C. Division of Coastal Management (DCM) has reviewed the annual monitoring reports prepared by NCDOT, we have participated during interagency discussions at the NCDOT annual monitoring report meetings, and we are familiar with the site conditions. Based upon this review, DCM agrees that no further monitoring is required and that the site may be closed. Please contact Stephen Lane or me if you have any questions or concerns. Stephen can be reached by phone at (252) 808-2808 extension 208 or by email at Ste hen.lane ncdenr, ov. I can be reached by phone at (919) 707-9149 or by e-mail at Cathy. Brittinghamkncdenr. og_y.
