The Pretreatment, Emergency Response, and Collection Systems Unit (PERCS) of the Division of Water
Resources has reviewed the Headworks Analysis (HWA) submitted by the City of Greensboro for the TZ
Osborne WWTP. The submittal was received bythe Division on September 5, 2018. Additional information
was requested and was received on March 22, 2019.
The Division concurs with the HWA calculations for all pollutants of concern. These approved Maximum
Allowable Headworks Loadings (MAHL), Maximum Allowable Industrial Loadings (MAIL), and the basis for
these values are found on the last page of the HWA spreadsheet. The results of the HWA are also listed
in the bottom section of the enclosed Allocation Table.
HWA Due Date: The HWA approved today is mostly based on DMR and LTMP for the period January 2017
to June 2018. Your next updated HWA is due on October 1, 2023, unless conditions at the POTW change
significantly and thus warrant an earlier submittal (see Comprehensive Guide, Chapter S Section D).
