Impervious surface are located a minimum of 30' from streams (per local ordinances). Post -construction storm water runoff rates are reduced to equal or less than pre -development runoff rates through the use of storm water detention/infiltration facilities. Storm water quality is addressed with the detention/infiltration facilities by reduction of the total suspended solids by 85%. Erosion control facilities will be installed to minimize offsite sedimentation from construction activities. 1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques. Erosion control (offsite sedimentation) is facilitated through the use of double -row silt fences, super silt fence along the main flowing stream, filter berms, inlet protection, skimmer sedimentation basins, mud mat entrance to the site, and rip rap pipe outlet protection, all under the prior submittal of plans to and final approval by the Buncombe County Planning Department. 2. The site was the former location of the Joseph Sales log house. The chimney fall for the former house was identified in 1990 by archaeologists for NCDOT in association with the widening of US 74. The site was determined to be ineligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places because there were no remaining intact deposits, and thus it may have been destroyed during road construction. I just left you a voicemail in regards to a project that I am working on — we're helping a developer with a PCN and as part of that process I was reaching out to you to see if there are any known archeological resources within the project confines or vicinity. I have attached a map showing the property in context (USGS Quad map base, Oteen Quad) and also provided a Lat/Long for the property centroid. Please let me know if you require any other information from me or if you'd like to discuss.
