These sewer improvements were initiated by the City's Multi -area Streambank RestorationProject and will be performed in conjunction with streambank construction. No additional wastewater flows will be generated by this project at,either site. The purpose of the Patton Park project is to replace existing, deteriorating clay sewer mains that travel along an unnamed tributary to Britton Creek and Britton Creek, respectively. All existing sewer main in this project are of clay material and in poor condition. The City has elected to open cut three sections of sewer main instead of pipebursting due to cost and constructability concerns. By doing so, the alignment of the new sewer and pipe size/material will be altered slightly from the current permit. Approximately 490 feet of the previously pipebursted 28-inch HDPE (I.D. = 24.5") is now proposed as 24-inch PVC (I.D. = 23.4"). Please note, the size difference of the ID is minimal. This proposed main is sized to have adequate capacity for 2040 projected flows during a 2-year storm event according to the City's recent sewer master plan. The purpose of the Allen Branch at Lakewood Road project is to reroute an existing 12-inch gravity sewer main in which existing sewer main has been exposed due to streambank erosion. This portion of the project has not changed from the original permit. The purpose of the Comet Drive project is to eliminate an aerial sewer creek crossing and consists of approximately 242 feet of 8-inch sewer main. This project site has been added to the modified permit. 305 Williams St. Ismith@hvinc.gov Phone: 828.697.3073 Hendersonville, NC 28792-4461 mvw.cityofhendersonville.org DocuSign Envelope ID: 435607E2-7370-413D-9C35-1 D5576C6955 ROY COOPER Gmrmor MICHAEL S.
