Hi Mike,
It was a pleasure speaking with you. Based on the information provided in your April 2, 2019 email and our phone
conversation, you would be constructing a bridge over the channel that would go from high point to high point.
There would be no discharge of fill material into a water of the United States. You have also indicated there would
be no tree clearing associated with the proposed activity. As such, a Department of the Army Section 404 Permit
would NOT be required by our office. You may proceed with your project as proposed.

Subject: [Non-DoD Source] walking bridge
Samantha
Department of Parks would like to place a walking bridge at cliffs of the Neuse state park. The bridge will go from
high point to high point noted by red flags in the photos. The photos are looking upstream and downstream.
Coordinates are attached on the PDF.
I will like to meet you onsite for a determination to ensure we are not in wetlands. If you have any questions please
let me know.
Most Sincerely,
Mike Peveler
