In accordance with NC Environmental Management Commission Special Order by Consent,EMC
WQ S 18-004, Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (Duke) is hereby submitting this notification that
decanting from the ash basin began on March 27, 2019. This notice fulfills our obligation found
in the subject Order's Section 2(b)

I certify under penalty of law, that this document and all attachments were prepared under
my direction or supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified
