DOT is requesting authorization to extend an existing dredged channel an additiona1590 feet on new location using a pump dredge. The additional dredging will take place in waters currently 7-12' deep with target depths at 12-14'. No SAV is in evidence in the project area due to the depth, littoral transport and orientation on a windward shoreline. No coastal or 404 wetlands exist on the proposed upland disposal site.
