I am have been researching the handclearing issue you brought up on the phone the
other day, and finally have some answers for you.
The project plans in the RCW area include a note stating "See Project Commitments for
Special Clearing for -L- STA. 338+00 To 393+00"
An additional note was added to the Clearing and Grubbing phase of the Erosion Control
plans (see attached). Note the additional red line block that says "Hand Clearing Only.
No Grubbing Allowed From Toe of Fill Slope to R/W Line. Station -L- 338+00 to 393+00.
Also, the drainage easements that extend beyond the 200'.
These areas were included in the October 2, 2018 Foraging Habitat Analysis Report (p.
42 mentions it). The report was sent to USFWS by e-mail 10/4; you were copied on the
e-mail. So, these areas were included in the USFWS concurrence letter we subsequently
received.
I hope this helps.
Any update on where you are in the process? John Conforti is required to make a report
to upper management by Friday, so I have to ask.
