The PERCS Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the updated Long Term Monitoring Plan
(LTMP) submitted by the City of Statesville for the Third Creek & Fourth Creek WWTPs. This LTMP was
received by the Division on March 1, 2019.
The review indicates that the LTMP is adequate and meets the requirements needed to establish a site -
specific Headworks Analysis (HWA). Proper implementation of an LTMP is also required by Part IV, Section
D of your NPDES permit.
1. LTMP Data Summary: Sample collection and laboratory analysis must be done as outlined in this
LTMP. It is also very important to organize and summarize your data. Example LTMP data summary
forms can be found on PERCS website.
2. Division Review of Data: As your LTMP data is accumulated, organized, and analyzed, the Division
may request to review tabulated data and to see chain of custody forms and laboratory data sheets.
3. LTMP Modifications: Interpretation of monitoring data or changes in operation at your POTW may
indicate that the LTMP needs to be modified; however, please be aware that modifications to your
LTMP must be approved by the Division.
