Dear Mr. Votaw:
On March 13, 2001, staff from the Fayetteville Regional Office of the Division of Water Quality, conducted an
inspection of the Husker Nursery Farm in Bladen County. The inspection revealed that the farm had not collected a soil
sample within the past 365 days from the waste application fields. In addition, a copy of the Certificate of Coverage and
the General Permit were not available on the faun as required.
The Division of Water Quality requests that the following items be addressed:
Collect a soil sample of each field annually (within 365 days) and apply the needed soil ammendments as required
to improve the coastal crop.
Locate a copy of the Certificate of Coverage and the General Permit and maintain in the farm files.
