Box 59 Stedman, NC 28391 Subject: Notice of De Icien Angela Jones Farm Facility No. 09-35 Bladen County Dear Ms. Jones: On June 19, 1998, staff from the Fayetteville Regional Office of the Division of Water Quality performed an annual inspection of the Angela Jones Farm located in Bladen County. The inspection revealed that the waste application fields had areas with weed problems that need addressing due to competition with the desired crop. Also noted in the inspection report, the IRR -2 forms need to be filled out to show the nitrogen balance and the waste management plan needs to have all required information. In regard to the deficiency(s) noted during the inspection, the following actions are requested. 1. Address the weed problem in the waste application field to avoid competition with the bermuda crop. 2. Fill out the IRR -2 forms to show the nitrogen balance of the crop receiving waste. 3. Incorporate insect control, odor control and mortality checklists along with the emergency action plan into the CAWMP. 4. Be sure waste samples are collected within the specified 60 day time period.
