To improve Bridge #840170 and replace with a new, modern bridge structure.
4i. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used:*
Erosion and sedimentation control measures will be installed. Bridge demolition will include the removal of the bridge deck and the removal of the top portion of the bridge abutments,
leaving the footer and approximately one foot of the masonry abutment to match the excavation elevation. Bridge replacement construction using heavy equipment from the upland
roadway approaches. No deck drains are proposed on the bridge. A portion of the unnamed tributary to Crane Creek will require a minor stream relocation to avoid conflicts with the
bridge end bent. The proposed bridge will be built on the same alignment with a temporary off-site detour.

Permanent impacts of 127 linear feet to the stream bank (riprap will be keyed into the bank) of Crane Creek is proposed for stabilization and no part of
the stream bed will be impacted. The proposed 79 linear feet of permanent impact to RPW Stream B(unnamed tributary to Crane Creek) will be
mitigated by the realignment of the stream slightly to the south and purchase of In-Lieu Fee mitigation.

Replace bridge in-place was incorporated to minimize impacts. The bridge span length was extended to reduce impacts. Riprap at the embankments is
minimized and installed on stream banks only to reduce impacts to surface waters.
