Project Description: Replace existing 52 ft. x 20 ft. bridge with a proposed 90 ft. x 27 ft. cored slab
bridge on existing alignment (Figures 1& 2).
SUMMARY OF CULTURAL RESOURCES REVIEW
Brief description of review activities, results of review, and conclusions:
A review of map files with the Office of State Archaeology on September 17, 2013 found that Bridge 36
over Smith Creek had already been cleared along SR 1143.
Brief Explanation of why the avnilable information provides a reliable basis far reasonably predicting
that there are no unidentified historic properties in the APE: Plans call for replacement of the bridge
within the existing right of way. There will be no impact to land outside of the existing alignment. This
bridge was cleared by the OSA in 1984.
