Haynes Wire was having an issue with elevated pH values from some of their outfalls. The facility is well maintained and all records are in place. The company extrudes mainly Nickel wire of different guage size for industrial/medical applications. Some raw materials are stored behind the facility near drop inlets (which eventually go to Outfalls SDO 01 and SDO 02). These outfalls should continue to be monitored. Outfalls SDO - 03, 04, 05, and 06 are not exposed to any industrial activity and do not have to be monitored (mostly from roof drains and non -exposed areas). If you continue to have low pH values - you may wish to contact this office so that we can bring a calibrated meter and directly test your stormwater outfalls.
