Training includes a discussion of the transfer and deliver/acceptance procedures, and applicable laws, rules and regulations. This training is provided by a knowledgeable person with experience in spill response, containment and control. Training is conducted at least once per year for these personnel. • Facility tanks, containment and related piping are inspected periodically. • The rail car loading/ unloading area has a single connection point for loading/unloading operations, which precludes the opportunity for confusion in piping. The connection is capped when transfer operations are not in progress. The rail car loading/unloading area services the tank farm, and these tanks are equipped with local audible high level alarms. The rail loading/unloading area is designed with a secondary containment system to prevent leaks and drips from the rail cars from entering the environment. • All outdoor storage tanks have secondary containment. • An outdoor raw material / chemical storage area has secondary containment and a sump. • The facility has a Tank Integrity Program to address inspections and any necessary repairs. • Security personnel are onsite 24 hours/day, 365 days/ year. • All pump control circuits are not powered during non -operational hours. • Spills that occur outside of secondary containment areas are cleaned as soon as possible. • Granular absorbents are kept around the facility to respond to spills. Facility Name: Chemol Company, Inc. — Greensboro, NC Permit Number: NCS000048 Significant Changes at the Facility A production tank inside the plant's common dike area, and the spill plan was updated accordingly.
