As the proposed design interferes with the existing drainage, ditches were proposed on both sides of the begin and end bridge. On the end side of the bridge, a traffic bearing grated drop inlet with double frame and grates (2G1) was placed on the right side of the roadway in the shoulder berm gutter to pick up runoff from the bridge. Class-II rip rap abutment protection on both banks of the stream is also proposed to prevent future erosion and stream migration. Deck drains are not needed. No dissipator pads were used because the Class-II rip rap will prevent erosion and dissipate flow.
