Dear Ms. McCoy,
Republic Services of North Carolina, LLC is requesting that the referenced certificate for coverage under the
NPDES Stormwater General Permit be rescinded as the facility at the reference address is no longer used by
Republic Services in an industrial capacity. From a telephone conversation that I had with Ms. Bethany
Georgoulias on March 1, 2019, 1 am sending this letter with a brief description of the request. I have also
attached a "Rescission Request Form" signed by the facility's legally responsible official.
In February2011, Republic Services relocated the hauling operation from the referenced address to the East
Carolina Landfill in Aulander, North Carolina. Currently, all industrial activities at the referenced address have
ceased such that no discharges of stormwater are contaminated by exposure to industrial activities or
materials. The landfill is provided coverage under NPDES Stormwater General Permit NCG12000.
It is my understanding that a representative of the Division's Regional Office will visit the site as part of the
rescission process. If possible, I'd like to accompany the representative on the site visit so that any
outstanding issues can be handled during the visit. Thank you for your consideration of this request. I can be
