Both are due to slope failures following approximately 5" of rain received during the last week. These were permit site 4 and the bridge over Smith Creek which is not a permitted site. At site 4, its estimated to be approximately 200-250 yards of stream impacted with @50, 5 gallon buckets in pockets in the stream. At Smith Creek, most of the material is in the floodplain, but more than a 5 gallon bucket made it into the stream. The sediment will be removed to the extent practicable. The project is very saturated making some of these areas inaccessible at this time which will cause us to exceed the 24 hr 5 day requirements. Our Resident's office is working to expedite the repairs as quickly as possible given the present conditions and the threat of more rain beginning Thursday. If you have any questions, let me know.
