Please accept two copies of the 2017 annual documentation submittal for wastewater permit
compliance for the Brickhaven Mine No. 2, Tract "A" (Brickhaven) site in Chatham County, North
Carolina, governed by NPDES Permit No. NCG020354.
Included with this submittal you will find the annual DMR report form for the analytical data. "No Flow'
conditions were observed for the first quarter while wastewater discharge occurred during the second,
third and fourth quarters of 2017 at Mine Pit Outfall 1 (MPO1). No constituents were detected above
their respective benchmark levels during any of the quarterly monitoring periods of 2017. Analytical
reports from each quarterly monitoring event have also been included in this submittal package in
addition to the daily dewatering logs.
Based on the analytical results received from the second, third and fourth quarterly monitoring periods
of 2017, Brickhaven will continue analytical monitoring on a quarterly basis at MPO1.
