NARRATIVE SUMMARY
GENERAL INFORMATION:
GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION:
During this reporting period, the Town completed an Industrial Waste Survey and
submit the findings to the State for review. The Town did not modify any of the other
Pretreatment Program Elements during the reporting period. A copy of the
"Pretreatment Program Info Database" is attached with no noted corrections.
GENERAL PERMIT INFORMATION:
The POTW did not modify the Industrial User Permits
SIU INFORMATION:
Sans Technical Fibers (0108)
SIGNIFICANT NONCOMPLIANCE (SNC) INFORMATION:
No SNC Events
OTHER INFORMATION:
Sans Technical exceeded the BOD limit during the second compliance
period. Follow-up sampling was completed and compliant with the permit
limit. A Notice of Violation was sent to Sans in accordance with the
Enforcement Response Plan.
2. Strum, Ruger & Company (0109)
SIGNIFICANT NONCOMPLIANCE (SNC) INFORMATION:
No SNC Events
OTHER INFORMATION:
During this reporting period, the BOD permit limitation for Pipe 002 was
exceeded during the second compliance period. A Notice of Violation was
sent to Ruger in accordance with the Enforcement Response Plan. In
addition, a Notice of Violation was sent to Strum Ruger & Company for late
reporting.
3. Unifi Corporation (0105)
SIGNIFICANT NONCOMPLIANCE (SNC) INFORMATION:
No SNC Events
OTHER INFORMATION:
During the reporting period, Unifi exceeded the daily maximum permit limit
for TSS. Unifi identified the cause of the problem as toilet paper and
collected additional samples. The follow-up samples were compliant with
the permit limitation. A Notice of Violation was sent to Unifi in accordance
with the Enforcement Response Plan.
