On November 15, 2018, Joan Schneier of the NC Division of Water Resources, Water Quality Regional
Operations Section conducted a compliance inspection in support of a change of ownership. On the date
inspected, the system was working but slightly non -compliant.
The property had been vacant for a while and the effluent side of the septic tank and filter were reasonably
clean. No problems were seen in the underground sand filter area and the correct tablets were stocked in
the chlorinator. The high-water alarms worked from the float and test switch. All 4 spray heads had good
pressure and rotated. However, one head is not far from the pond and should have the pattern adjusted to
prevent potential runoff issues. Trees had fallen across the barbed wire fence, pinning down the wire in
two places. Also, some of the wires were intertwined. Please see the attached inspection report.
Please have the spray head adjusted, and the tress removed from the fence within 45 days, and notify
me when this is done.
