Asheville, NC Kaylie Yankura, The Corps has received (February 6) and reviewed the submitted Pre -Construction Notification (PCN) application and supporting documents for the High Hampton Stream Restoration project. The project is located on a UT of Fowler Creek at golf course holes #7 and #8 at the High Hampton Resort in Cashiers, Jackson County, North Carolina. The PCN request utilization of Nationwide Permit (NWP) 27 for after -the -fact authorization of permanent stream impacts associated with the removal of a culvert and restoration of the day -lighted stream reach. After review of the submitted PCN and supporting documents and the JD request the Corps has the following comments and request for additional information. 1) Submit as -built plans/drawings and photos which detail the work completed to restore the stream reach (longitudinal profile of the entire reach, cross-sections, location of bed grade control structures, bank widths, pool depths, drawings noting stream location and reach dimensions, detail of substrate materials, detail of stream bank vegetation, etc.). Please copy Kevin Mitchell with NC Department of Environment Quality, Division of Water Resources and Andrea Leslie with NC Wildlife Resources Commission on your submittals to the Corps. At this time, the request to utilize NWP 27 for the after -the -fact authorization of impacts to waters of U.S. is on hold until the above additional information has been received.
