In the email below, Jim mentions the use of an impervious dike. This will be required at
both end bents and is shown in the permit drawings as a temporary impact. The total
length of temporary impact was calculated at 70’.

With the water surface elevation shown, I guess it is going to require an impervious dike
as shown. Impacts are minimal. Since this project has a MANLAA call for the Wood
stork (see USFWS Concurrence Letter), formal submittal in the form of a PCN will be
required for the NWP#3.
