Dear Landon,

This letter is in response to your 1-31-18 letter to Laurel Mountain Retreat attached.

The NOV was for TSS limit violations for September 2017 with a reported value of 7.5
mg/L on 9-7-18 that exceeded the monthly limit of 5 mg/L. The effluent was very clear
and did not realize we exceeded the limit until the month was over not allowing us to
resample the effluent.

The NOV for not reporting the 1st week of September was able to be corrected with our
site visit on 9-2-17. See our amended report in today’s mail to central files in Raleigh.

I trust this explains the error and necessary action to correct the violation. Feel free to
