General Project Narrative: State project B-4516 involves the replacement of the existing NCDOT Bridge #340052 on SR 1433 over Sandy Creek. Bridge #340052 consists of 1@18.1', 1@16.8', 1@34.6',
(Description of Minimization of Water 1@17.2', 1@16.7', 1@17.3', 1@17.6' RC floor with timber caps and piles and a 2.8' step cap. The proposed bridge consists of 1@100', 1@50' 39" box beam with 4'-0" caps. The
Quality Impacts) proposed crossing is located in Zone AE of FIRM Map number 3720282800J and was studied by Limited Detail Study methods. Two stormwater outfalls are proposed which will
be placed at a distance to minimize disturbance to adjacent stream and nearby buffers. Rip Rad pads will be utilized to dissipate the energy. No deck drains are required for the
proposed bridge.
