Subject: Lake James State Park - Cove Bridge Project
Mark,
I am reviewing the Lake James bridge project and have a few questions.
Where is the scour hole located in relation to the Catawba buffer? What grade slope is this proposed on?
For diffuse flow, the PCN shows that a vegetated conveyance (lower SHWT) will be provided. Is this in relation to the
scour hole?
Thanks,
Amy Annino

Amy,
It appears that the scour hole is encroaching upon Zone II. We will revise the plan sheets to keep the scour hole out of
the buffer. We plan on using both the scour hole and vegetative conveyance. I will get the slope when we redo the plan
sheet. I will get the revised drawings to you ASAP. Sorry for the confusion, I should have picked up the placement of the
scour hole before I submitted the application. If you have any further questions, please advise.
Thanks, Mark
