DWR is approving the removal of 3 pine trees from Zone 1 of the Catawba Buffer adjacent to your boat dock. The 3 pine trees will need to be replaced with 3 native hardwood tree species. Any woody vegetation that is 3 inches in diameter that is damaged during the removal of the 3 pine trees will need to be replaced. Please see attached native riparian tree list appropriate for your location. Any temporarily disturbed areas for tree removal / shoreline stabilization in the buffer should have mulch applied to it. Your application does not include a full mailing address, only your street address. Please provide your full mailing address where you prefer the permit to be mailed. Based on the application you submitted and the email below, you are proposing to apply 6 feet of rip rap stone to the shoreline below the normal pool lake level / normal water level for 136 linear feet, for a total of 816 square feet. No rip rap stone will be applied above the normal pool lake level / normal water level. Please reply to confirm if this is correct. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to ampD.c.ov Hi Amy Thanks for coming to our lot yesterday and for allowing us to remove the three trees and add shoreline stabilization. Our proposed footprint for shoreline stabilization up to the level where the clay undercut stops and the humus begins is approximately 810 square feet. The width will be approximately 6 feet. We would like to put rip rap right next to the clay and put a final cover of brown rock from Bennick. We will not put any rocks on or above the humus. Is that all the information you need?
