17. Other recommendations and comments: Site is flooded from hurricane Florence. Bottom of pit is
normally 80’ below sea level. Water level now is at 40’ below sea level. Pumps working to remove flood
water at a rate of 2-4” per day. River levels are impeding discharge at three culvert pipes. Refer to
10/12/2018 letter in regards to discharges and NPDES. Discharges appeared to be clear.
Complaint from NCSU Experimental Farm across the street. Their pond is dry. However, the pit is still
flooded. The surrounding wetlands have water in them. Refer to Nat Wilson group.
