Please explain why the sewer line connection needs to be in its proposed location and why it cannot be located near an existing road/crossing. There are multiple roads with many residential subdivisions around all sides of the proposed project area. Why not route the sewer line differently and connect to an existing sewer line from an already built subdivision? It's true that there are several subdivisions surrounding us with sewer, unfortunately we either cannot gravity sewer to those sewer lines or are unable to obtain the right of way necessary to connect to them. The City of Winston Salem will not approve a pump station nor condemn right of way for this project. We have spent the past 6 months exploring those option first before deciding to go the current route, which is the only viable route. 2). Will the proposed sewer line be gravity fed or a forced main line? Gravity Fed as required by the City of Winston Salem. PLEASE NOTE - The proposed impacts associated with this sewer line are a result of the development of Phase III of this residential community. Phase III of this development is to the west of the impacted stream and if any additional stream/wetlands impacts are a result of Phase IV; then those impacts may be looked at cumulatively and may result in compensatory mitigation. Thanks for pointing this out. This will be our only impact for all 4 phases of the project.
